EFCC arrests 13 university’s students in Sokoto
13 Usmanu Danfodio varsity students arrested for internet fraud
Operatives from the Sokoto Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 13 students suspected of involvement in internet fraud in Sokoto State.
According to a statement by the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, in Abuja, the suspects were arrested on Saturday in the Gidan Yaro and Dandima areas of Sokoto, following intelligence reports on their alleged internet fraud activities.

“All 13 suspects claim to be students at Usmanu Danfodio University in Sokoto. Once investigations are concluded, they will face charges in court.
“This recent crackdown is part of the EFCC’s ongoing efforts to combat internet fraud across Nigeria,” Oyewale stated.
