Palpable tension enveloped Oluwo area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, as suspected cultists killed a kingpin and area boy popularly known as Tommy.
Our correspondent gathered that he was reportedly killed late Thursday night at Panseke, by some yet-to-be-identified persons.
Sources said the assailants butchered Tommy, leaving him in a pool of blood.
His death brought tension among residents of Oluwo, Adigbe, Onikoko and Panseke areas of Abeokuta metropolis over the fear of reprisal attacks.

The students’ populated environment seems deserted as many residents were already planning to travel out to avoid being caught up in any melee.
Spokesman of Ogun Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident, saying it was a cult clash.
Oyeyemi said 18 persons have been arrested in connection with the killing of Tommy.
