2 killed as family feud over traditional title turns deadly
Two people have lost their lives following a violent confrontation stemming from a family dispute over a traditional title in Gbajibo village, Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State.
According to security analyst Zagozola Makama, the incident occurred on October 3, 2025, after a heated disagreement between 30-year-old Iliyasu Umar Sayidi and 25-year-old Ahmadu Isah, both from Bukka village, spiraled out of control.

Sources said the quarrel degenerated into a physical fight, during which both men stabbed each other with a dagger, sustaining critical injuries.
They were rushed to the General Hospital in Jebba but were confirmed dead on arrival.
Police officers later visited the scene, took photographs of the bodies, and moved them to the hospital mortuary for autopsy.
According to sources, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has commenced a full investigation into the incident.
