20 killed, bank, petrol station razed in Fagba,Lagos communal clash

The death toll in a communal clash in the Fagba area of Lagos State between the Yoruba and Hausa has risen to over 20, according to a source in the area.

A report by Eagle Online said the fracas broke out between the two groups on Tuesday in the midst of the #EndSARS protests and the consequence violence, killings and destruction of property.

As of Thursday morning, reports from the area had it that over 20 persons, including a famous dealer in a Yoruba delicacy, popularly called Amala, had been killed.

A First Bank of Nigeria Limited branch at Fagba had been razed, it was learnt.

The popular Fowobi Petrol Station, now Enyo, was said to have been torched on Tuesday.

Other places affected include a relaxation arena, Pedro Bar, located at the Fagba Junction, which was set ablaze.

It said that although the popular Shekinah Pharmacy was not razed, it was badly damaged.

But the building behind the pharmaceutical shop said to be owned by the same person was torched.

Several other shops and warehouses on the same row were also damaged
