The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, on Monday, commenced the refund of N184m to 2,300 pilgrims that performed this year’s hajj exercise from the state.

The commencement of the payment followed the approval for the release of N184m by the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

The executive secretary of the State Pilgrims Board, Alh. AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, thanked the state government for the timely release of the fund, which was the excess money paid by the affected pilgrims.

He urged the concerned pilgrims to come to the board’s office with their original receipts for the collection of their N80,000 refund.
