A federal lawmaker from Rivers State and governorship aspirant, Farah Dagogo, has said that Atiku Abubakar’s candidacy as flag bearer of the PDP is a fait accompli.
He rejected Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike’s presidential aspiration under the Peoples Democratic Party, saying it would not fly.
Farah, who is representing Bonny-Degema Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, in a statement, said majority of the members of the party were in support of the former Vice President.
According to him, his support for Atiku was unshaken, as he remains the most qualified and experienced to lead the country in 2023.
He said, “My support for the former Vice President and Waziri Adamawa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is unshakeable. Atiku Abubakar’s candidacy as PDP flagbearer is already foreclosed. Attention is now on how to wrestle power from the All Progressive Congress, APC and rejig the country’s failing economy.
“Majority of PDP members, including my humble self are however in support of Atiku and that is what matters.”
