All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Senator Abu Ibrahim yesterday said that next year’s presidential election will be North’s pay back time for the standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
He said the region will vote for the former Lagos State governor in appreciation of his positive dispositions to previous flag bearer from the North.
Also, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq said Tinubu’s records of achievements and capacity to build a formidable team qualified him to be next president.
He recalled how Tinubu supported the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, when he contested under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and how he also supported President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and 2019.
Ibrahim said it is now the turn of the North to reciprocate the gesture by supporting Tinubu in 2023.
He said the APC candidate loves the North, adding that, when elected, Tinubu will surely promote the interest of the North.
Ibrahim said Tinubu would replicate the wonderful work he did in Lagos if given the mandate.
He added: “I also urge the people of Katsina state to vote for the APC gubernatorial candidate of the state, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda’.

Ibrahim said he has relocated to Katsina to spearhead reconciliation and promote the candidature of Tinubu and Dikko.
He disclosed that he is currently going round the state to campaign for the APC candidates.
The APC deputy chairman in Katsina State, Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa, disclosed that with the relocation of Ibrahim to Katsina, Tinubu’s and Dikko’s victory is assured.
He stressed that Katsina APC is a one big united family.
AbdulRazaq spoke at a symposium marking the unveiling of the YASIN for Tinubu/Shettima Presidency and AbdulRazaq/Kayode Governorship 2023 – an initiative of Alhaji Najeem Yasin, the Deputy President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).
The governor said Tinubu achieved so much to place Lagos on a sound footing, adding that he will employ same template to consolidate on the gains of the past years and break new great grounds to transform the country.
He said: “When you are to select candidates for a political party or president for Nigeria, what people should look out for are track records of candidates, what they have been able to do in previous offices or the goodwill they will bring to that office.”
He commended Yasin for his consistent love and support for the APC administration in Kwara, recalling that the union leader made an impact during the pre-2019 campaigns.
AbdulRazaq lauded Tinubu for the developmental projects that cut across Ikotun-Egbe, Badagry, Alimosho and other parts of Lagos State.
He called on Nigerians to judge him with by achievements as a governor.
The APC Chairman, Mr Sunday Fagbemi, said Tinubu’s victory was sure in Kwara, recalling how Kwara delegates overwhelmingly voted for him during the last APC presidential primary in Abuja.
He said that the presidential candidate would also leverage on by AbdulRazaq’s achievements in the last three and a half years.
He urged party supporters to immediately engage in door-to-door campaigns and ensure success for all party candidates at the poll.
Yasin said the gathering became imperative to re-echo their support the Tinubu/Shettima ticket and AbdulRazaq’s re-election.
He said: “We deemed it needful to organise this event to appeal to our people to come out and support these winning teams: Tinubu/Shettima Presidency and AbdulRazaq/Kayode Governorship come 2023.
“They are the best candidates, given what they have achieved as former and serving governors of their respective states,” he said.
He implored Kwara people to come out en masse to vote for them at the polls.
