2023 presidency: Tinubu meets APC governors after Osinbajo’s declaration

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Monday met with governors elected on the platform of the party, hours after Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo officially joined the 2023 presidential race.

The. VP had before his declaration held a meeting with the APC governors where he informed them of his presidential ambition.
The Tinubu/APC governors’ meeting, was held at Kebbi Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
Tinubu is one of the major contenders for the presidential ticket of the ruling party.
Some of the governors who met with Tinubu were Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Abubakar Baduru (Jigawa), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Simon Lalong (Plateau) and Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna).
Osinbajo had hosted some of the governors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Sunday night.
