3 Clerics, woman die in Ekiti road accident

Three clerics and a woman have died in a ghastly motor accident along Otun-Iro-Ekiti road in Moba Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

The deceased was said to be traveling from Ipere-Ekiti to Iro-Ekiti, when the bus in which they were traveling somersaulted on Monday.

Five other clerics sustained various degrees of injuries and were taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti, for treatment while the corpses had been deposited in the mortuary.

One of the deceased clerics, who was just transferred from the Anglican Church, Ipere-Ekiti, was on his way to assume duty in his new station in Iro-Ekiti when the incident occurred.

The police PRO, Ekiti State Command, DSP Sunday Abutu, confirmed the accident.
