300-level UNN student dies in hotel swimming pool

A 300-level student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Ugwu Chiagozie, has drowned in a hotel swimming pool in Nsukka, Enugu State.

It was gathered that the incident occurred during a pool party held at the hotel on Friday night, October 18, 2024.

Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.

According to reports, the organizers of the event tagged were arrested and transferred to the police headquarters.

The body of the Genetics and Biotechnology student has been deposited in the mortuary.
