32 Nigerians Nabbed in Ghana as Cyber Security Authority Raids Kasoa Scam Hub
Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority (CSA), in a joint operation with National Security operatives, has arrested 32 Nigerian nationals over alleged involvement in cybercrime activities at Tuba in the Kasoa area, authorities confirmed.
The arrests were carried out during an early morning raid on Saturday, December 13, 2025, after intelligence reports linked the suspects to an organised romance scam syndicate operating from a suspected cybercrime hub.
During the operation, security operatives seized 31 laptops and 15 mobile phones, which investigators believe were used to perpetrate the alleged online fraud. The electronic devices have been sent for forensic examination to support ongoing investigations.

According to the Cyber Security Authority Ghana, the operation is part of a broader national strategy aimed at combating cybercrime, protecting citizens, and safeguarding Ghana’s digital ecosystem.
Reacting to the development, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, praised the CSA and National Security agencies for what he described as a major breakthrough.
In a statement shared on Facebook, the minister said the arrests demonstrated the government’s commitment to making Ghana an unattractive destination for cybercriminals, pledging continued support for the Authority’s operations.
“A joint operation between the Authority and National Security resulted in the arrest of 32 Nigerians operating a romance scam syndicate in Kasoa Tuba. We will continue to support the Authority as we strike decisive blows against cybercrime in Ghana,” he said.
