33-yr-old tenant docked for slapping landlady during squabble
A 33-year old tenant, Oluwatobi Adedokun, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly giving his landlady, Mrs. Leshey Adaora Oliha, dirty slaps during a public squabble.
The incident happened at Heritage Street, Ojodu area of Lagos, where the tenant, Adedokun, rented an apartment.
The alleged assault has landed him in trouble as the matter was reported to the Police and he was arrested and detained at Ojokoro Police Division for the alleged assault.
The landlady reportedly told the Police that apart from inflicting injuries on her with the slaps, the suspect allegedly instilled fear in her as he threatened to kill her and take over her house as the new landlord.

After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and then charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
However, he pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Bisi Ogunleye, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. M.A. Adegbaye, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and addresses verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 30th November, 2023, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
