4 dead, over 40 abducted as terrorists launch fresh attack in Zamfara
The terrorists, locally dubbed as bandits, invaded the town in the early hours of Tuesday and also kidnapped no fewer than 40 residents.
Terrorists have reportedly attacked Kasuwa-Daji Town in the Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing four persons including two policemen.

The attack has left the residents to scamper for safety as the invaders reportedly shot indiscriminately in attempt to whisk away their abductees.
Some residents of Kaura-Namoda, who spoke to journalists said that the terrorists who invaded the community wielding sophisticated weapons including anti-aircraft gun attacked the home of the former State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Hamisu Kasuwar-Daji and abducted one of his wives and grandchildren.
The bandits also attacked the police station which is located near Kasuwar-Daji’s house, killed two policemen on duty and carted away their arms.

They also killed another two persons during the attack that was said to have lasted more than two hours unchallenged.
The residents also confirmed that about 40 persons were abducted during their house-to-house raid.
“Two residents were also killed, not only policemen. As of now, about 40 residents have been whisked away by the bandits,” one of the residents told journalists.
Meanwhile, the Zamfara State Police Command has confirmed the attack but remained silent on the casualty figures.
The Command’s spokesperson, Yazid Abubakar, who spoke to Channels TV said: “Yes, there was an attack in Kasuwar-Daji early hours of today.”
“We are yet to confirm the number of the residents abducted but the Commissioner of Police has deployed additional troops to restoren ormalcy in the town.”
