About four persons have reportedly lost their lives at Swali axis of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital, as suspected rival cult groups clashed over the sharing of money given by politicians from the area.
This is coming barely two days after the Yenagoa community placed a ban on cult activities in the area.
The recent upsurge in cult clashes in Yenagoa metropolis has created fears amongst residents of the city, who most times remain indoors to avoid being robbed.
Confirming the incident, police spokesman in the state, SP Asinim Butswat, said the operatives had arrested four suspects in connection with the cult clashes.
He however said two cultists died during the clash.
