5 killed , 3 injured as suspected bandits attack ECWA church gathering
A violent attack on members of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) has left five people dead and three others injured during a meeting at Kampani Village, located in Maro, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to information obtained from the Kaduna State Police Command and shared with security analyst and counterinsurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the incident took place around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 11. Armed men reportedly stormed the church premises while worshippers were gathered.
A source disclosed that a Good Samaritan raised the alarm at approximately 9:20 p.m., leading to a rapid deployment of security personnel to the area.

Responding swiftly, a joint team comprising police officers and other security forces arrived at the village and confirmed that five individuals had been shot. All five were later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The deceased were identified as Victor Haruna, Dogara Jatau, Luka Yari, Jesse Dalami, and Bawu John. Meanwhile, three others—Samuel Aliyu, Philip Dominic, and Jacob Hussaini—suffered serious injuries and are receiving medical treatment at a nearby facility.
Security agencies have launched a manhunt to locate and bring the bandits to justice, working in coordination with other forces on the ground.
