58-year-old man dies undergoing 19-day fast in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of a 58-year-old man who passed away while undertaking a spiritual fast.
The incident occurred in the Alagbado area of Lagos on Monday morning around 6:00 a.m., according to the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.

The man’s younger brother reported the death at the Alagbado Police Division later that day at about 7:00 p.m. He informed the police that his brother had died during a 19-day dry fasting period.
SP Hundeyin stated that no foul play is suspected in the case, and the family has requested to take custody of the body for burial.
