73-year-old man filmed allegedly defiling five-year-old girl

A 73-year-old man, Dukuye Ohofete, has been filmed while allegedly defiling a five-year-old girl.

This was disclosed by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency in a statement issued on Tuesday.

According to the statement signed by Adejoke Ladenegan-Oginni, Ohotefe was arraigned before the Samuel Ilori Magistrates’ Court, Ogba, Lagos State after he was recorded by a neighbour, while perpetrating the act.

The statement said: “The mother of the survivor was reported to have been separated from the child’s father six months ago.

“She, alongside the survivor, visited the alleged perpetrator, who’s a family friend, on December 14, 2022.

“The alleged perpetrator asked the mother of the survivor to get foodstuffs for him and left the five-year-old in the house with him.

“According to the mother of the survivor, on getting back to the house, she was shown a video of her daughter being defiled by the alleged perpetrator.

“The mother also claimed that the survivor complained about feeling pain in her private parts four months ago but she thought it was an infection.

“The 73-year-old has been remanded in the Kirikiri Custodial Centre pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.”
