Kelvin Eze, a student of Calvary International Ministry also known as CAPRO, abducted last Thursday in Plateau State by suspected armed herdsmen has been rescued.
The gunmen had abducted two students when they attacked their school in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau, which is located a few kilometres to the Yakubu Gowon Airport Heipang.
But one of the abductees escaped during a gun duel with security operatives while the other was taken away.
Eze was rescued in the early hours of Sunday by troops of Operation Safe Haven in Plateau State through intelligence without payment of ransom.
A statement in Jos by the Media Officer of Operation Safe Haven, Major Ibrahim Shittu, said, “The rescued student is hale and hearty and has been reunited with other students in the college.”
