Abducted Nigerian prince freed after N300m ransom payment, hospitalized in Benin Republic
A Nigerian prince, Bankole Adepegba, popularly known as “Ade Bendel,” who was kidnapped on May 1, has regained his freedom after a ransom of N300 million was paid to his abductors.
According to sources who spoke to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the prince was released to his family in the early hours of May 3 following the payment of 100 million CFA francs, equivalent to N300 million.
Police sources confirmed that Adepegba was immediately taken to BOHCON Hospital in the Republic of Benin for medical treatment after his release.
