Actor Ibrahim Chatta loses son

Nollywood star, Ibrahim Chatta, has been plunged into mourning following the passing of his ‘son.’

The actor broke the sad news in a post shared on his Instagram page on Saturday, alongside a photo of the deceased.

He wrote: “Inna liLlahi wa inna ileyhi rajiun
Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things Rest on Dear Son. Champ💔💔💔💔”

The heartbreaking announcement has since sparked an outpouring of condolences from colleagues and fans in the entertainment industry, who flooded his comment section with messages of support.

Actress Tawa Ajisefini reacted, saying: “Haaaaa Subuhanallah. I’m so sorry uncle. condolences.”

Actor Jamiu Azeez also expressed his grief, writing: “Haaaaaa God pls have mercy on us 00 dadad this is too much o.”

As of the time of this report, it remains unclear if the deceased was Chatta’s biological son or a close relative.

This tragedy comes on the heels of another painful loss in Nollywood, just days after veteran actress Peju Ogunmola lost her only child, Ayomikun, a development that also left the industry reeling in grief.
