Former governor of Ekiti State and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ayodele Fayose, has revealed that aggrieved governors of the party popularly known as G5 are still open for negotiations.
Making this disclosure at the flag-off ceremony of the party’s campaign in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital Fayose pleaded with the leadership of the party to come to a truce with the aggrieved governor before it is too late.
“Wike is taking over from me in “shaking Nigeria”. G5 is still open to negotiation and that should be done before it is too late,” Fayose said.

“Like I said governor Wike and the G5, they dont want to be president of Nigeria, They have agreed to the fact that Ahj. Atiku Abubakar; our candidate is our candidate but they are saying what is fair is fair. Therefore in the name of equity, I still plead with them to come and let us find solution before it is too late,” he added.
The G5 governors are campaigning for the ouster of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu. Their argument is based on the idea that the national chairman of the party and the presidential candidate should not be from the same region.
