Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa
Super Eagles skipper, Ahmed Musa has started a non-contact training session ahead of his comeback for Sivasspor from the arm injury he sustained last month.
Though no timeline has been placed on his return there is hope that the Eagles captain can have light training and even gradually move with the ball.
“Our Demir Grup Sivasspor, who will be the guest of Trabzonspor in the 11th-week match of Spor Toto Super League 2022-2023 Season, continued the preparations for the match with the training held at noon today (yesterday),” a statement stated on the club’s official website.

“The training, which was conducted at our club facilities under the management of our Technical Director Rıza Çalımbay, lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes. The training, which started with warm-up exercises, continued with 5 to 2 grabbing, passing, and pressing. Afterward, our team did tactical studies, and in the last part, they did double-goal matches and shooting exercises.
“Ahmed Musa and Fredrik Ulvestad, who have injuries, worked separately from the team under the direction of physiotherapist Fatih Aydın.
“Our Demir Grup Sivasspor will go to Trabzon in the afternoon and will enter the camp by completing the preparations for the training to be held tomorrow.”
Trabzonspor and Demir Grup Sivasspor will meet tomorrow at 17.00 at Şenol Güneş Sports Complex without Musa and his compatriot, Leke James who is also recovering from an ankle injury.
