A’Ibom APC women leader blast Emefiele for demanding apology from Akpabio
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader in Akwa Ibom State, Hon (Mrs) Obongawan Obonodo Ini Udom Uko, has expressed shock at what she described as the “dramatic outburst” of the former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefele, by demanding apology from the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, over his comments that Emefiele mismanaged the CBN under him.
She said Emefiele’s claim in a statement that Akpabio defamed his character in the comments attributed to him on the embattled former CBN governor, lacked moral basis.

According to Hon. (Mrs) Obongawan Obonodo Ini Udom Uko who doubles as a Special Assistant on Women Affairs to the Senate President, Emefele contributed to over 80% of the cause of the perilous state in which the economy of Nigeria and her financial system found itself today. She wondered what character Emefiele claims he has that the Senate President allegedly defamed?
She alleged that, “He (Godwin Emefiele) destroyed our naira currency and supritended the demolition of Nigeria’s economy through unprecedented corruption and looting. Emefele is seeking a distraction from his woes. He is looking for where to clutch like a drowning man.
“As a woman leader of our party (in Akwa Ibom State), l demand that Emefele should tell Nigerians, particularly the women of this country, where his wife is. We know where his wife is hiding herself. His allegation is like that of a shameless man dancing naked in the market place”, she claimed. NNL.
