Akpabio Hails Tinubu’s Administration as Most Christian-Friendly Since Nigeria’s Creation

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has described President Bola Tinubu’s administration as the most Christian-friendly government since Nigeria’s creation, praising the federal government for promoting religious inclusiveness and faith-based equity across the country.

Akpabio made the statement on Tuesday during a reception in Jos, Plateau State, which marked the formal defection of Governor Caleb Mutfwang to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Speaking to supporters and party officials, he commended Tinubu for creating a government environment that respects and protects Christians while ensuring fair treatment for all faiths, including Muslims.

“Let me place on record that the Bola Tinubu-led administration is the most Christian-friendly administration since the creation of Nigeria,” Akpabio said, highlighting the President’s efforts to promote religious harmony through both policy and practice.

According to the Senate President, the National Assembly has collaborated closely with the presidency to maintain peaceful coexistence among Nigeria’s diverse religious groups. He stressed that government policies under Tinubu are designed to foster equity and inclusiveness, ensuring that Christians and Muslims alike benefit from national initiatives.

Akpabio also addressed security concerns in Plateau State and other troubled regions, assuring citizens that the federal government is committed to restoring peace and stability. He emphasized that religious inclusiveness and security measures go hand-in-hand in promoting national cohesion and sustainable development.
