Alex Iwobi, the Super Eagles midfielder, has reportedly been the victim of a violent burglary at his residence in United Kingdom, where attackers allegedly made away with valuables estimated at around £500,000.

According to reports, the incident involved armed intruders who reportedly held the footballer at knifepoint while they carried out the break-in. The assailants are said to have forced their way into the property before ransacking the house and stealing a range of personal belongings.

Items reportedly taken during the burglary include designer wristwatches, jewellery, two iPhones, a MacBook laptop, and approximately £200,000 in cash. The attackers allegedly fled the scene after completing the robbery, leaving the player unharmed but shaken by the ordeal.

The incident is now under investigation by authorities in the UK, with law enforcement agencies expected to review CCTV footage, digital evidence, and other forensic leads to identify those responsible. No arrests have been announced at the time of this report.

Iwobi, who plays for Premier League club Fulham FC, featured in their recent 3–1 victory over Burnley, continuing his active involvement in domestic league fixtures despite the security scare.

The robbery adds to a series of similar incidents involving professional footballers in the UK, prompting ongoing concerns about targeted burglaries at players’ homes. Clubs and authorities have previously advised athletes to adopt enhanced security measures, including home surveillance systems and private security arrangements, to mitigate such risks.

Iwobi remains a key figure for both club and country, and attention is now focused on the police investigation as efforts continue to track down the perpetrators behind the attack.
