Angry mob kill Almajiri who beheaded a kid in Kano
The Police Command in Kano has initiated an inquiry into the alleged beheading of a minor, Mohammed Saidu, reportedly perpetrated by a 16-year-old almajiri named Abdullahi in Kanwa village, Madobi local government area.
Kano Police Commissioner Usaini Gumel disclosed on Friday that the six-year-old Saidu was allegedly killed by Abdullahi, who was found holding a blood-stained knife at the scene. Following the incident, the victim’s remains were recovered and transferred to the hospital for examination before being released to his relatives for burial.

During a search, the police discovered the headless body of Saidu in a nearby primary school. Gumel mentioned that the suspect, apprehended to prevent lynching, was later mobbed by enraged residents.
Upon confession by the suspect, who admitted to dumping the victim’s head in a pit toilet adjacent to the primary school, he was rushed to Kwankwaso Cottage Hospital for treatment but passed away during the process.
