APC doesn’t have regard for security, welfare of Nigerians – Senator Anyanwu

The Senator who represented Imo East at the 8th Senate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu on Sunday charged Nigerians to take their destinies in their hands, having seen that the All Progressives Congress, APC does not have any regard for their security and welfare.

The chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State, said plans were on top gear to tackle insecurity in Nigeria when the PDP takes over in 2023.

Anyanwu maintained that since the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is doing nothing to reassure Nigerians of adequate security, such callous mistake has been identified by the PDP for urgent correction with a view to restoring public sanity and confidence.

The South East Consensus candidate for the position of National Secretary of PDP, stated this in Owerri, Imo State capital while reacting to the killing of two traditional rulers in Njaba local government area of Imo State.

He described the ongoing killings of innocent people in the South East, including that of the traditional rulers as not only senseless, barbaric, but sacrilegious and needless.

His word, “no right thinking human being of Igbo extraction no matter the level of insanity, disagreement or hatred can raise a gun or any object against a traditional ruler who are highly revered as custodians of culture, norms and tradition”

“When things that are unusual begin to happen in our climes, it therefore means that things have fallen apart and the center cannot hold. ”

He said,” The summary of the whole thing is that APC has failed Nigerians and that Nigerians need to flush it out is not negotiable. We must demonstrate and express our grievances against them with our vote in 2023.”
