APC expels two for anti-party activities in Abia

All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State has expelled a former member of House of Representatives, Uzo Azubuike, and a former Commissioner for Finance, Obinna Oriaku, for alleged anti-party activities.

Oriaku and Azubuike were notified of their expulsions in separate letters on September 9 and 23 signed by state Chairman Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, Secretary Chief Chidi Avajah and Chairman of Disciplinary Committee, Paul Nwabuisi.

The letters said the two were expelled ‘following reports of acts of disobedience, negligence in carrying out lawful directives of the party, unrepentant and not remorseful despite several warnings’.

They were also accused of ignoring the committee’s invitation to come to the party secretariat in Umuahia on September 26.
