APC reconciles Uzodimma, Okorocha ahead of Imo gov poll
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and his predecessor, Rochas Okorocha, may have agreed to be reunited ahead of the governorship election taking place on November 11, this year.
Both are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and won the election to lead the state on the platform of the party but fell out with each other.
The APC National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Gandoje, led the two gladiators to the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, apparently to see President Bola Tinubu.
Uzodimma and Okorocha, who recently became political adversaries, were sighted arriving the Villa around 6:07pm along with Ganduje.
But in less than five minutes, the trio came out in company with Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
It was gathered that the President had left the office before the APC chieftains’ arrival.
They also reportedly went to Vice President Kashim Shettima’s office.
Ganduje earlier took the duo to the presidential Villa to meet President Bola Tinubu but could not see him because he was at another meeting, a source said.
A Presidency source said another meeting with President Tinubu would hold tonight at Tinubu’s residence in Abuja.
