Apprentice kidnaps boss one-year-old son in Osun on first day at work
An apprentice identified as Tawa has allegedly kidnapped the one-year-old child of her female boss on her first day at work.
The incident occurred in Osunjela, near Ilesa Garage in Osogbo, Osun State.
According to reports, Tawa had been introduced by a family friend, Sodiq, who recommended her as a potential apprentice to learn bag-making. However, on her first day, Tawa allegedly took the baby to an undisclosed location.

The spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Osun State, Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the incident, explaining that Tawa pretended to be playing with the baby before taking the child away. She had also sent the baby’s 10-year-old sister on an errand before abducting the child.
Adeleke expressed concern over the rise in child abductions in Osun State, citing recent cases, including a three-year-old who went missing in Osogbo and a five-month-old taken from a farm in Odo-Otin Local Government Area.
Investigations are ongoing, and the whereabouts of the kidnapped children remain unknown.
