Following his impressive debut season in the English Premier League, Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo has been rated one of the most aggressive players in the first half of the 2022/2023 season.
The former Glasgow Rangers joined Southampton in the summer transfer window for a fee worth €7m and has since made an impact at the Saint Mary’s Stadium.
The 26-year-old midfielder Southampton attacking midfielder, known for his creativity and physical style of play, has scored two goals in 15 appearances for the Saints this season.

According to Squawka’s top ten most aggressive players in the Premier League, the 26-year-old Southampton attacking midfielder is ranked in the fourth position with 17 points on the chart with the most possession won in the final third.
Manchester City attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne with 20 points ranks first on the chart, followed by Leeds United’s Jack Harrison with 19 points, and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Leandro Trossard, 18 points are ranked second and third respectively.
It’s interesting to note that the Super Eagles star has won the ball back from the opposition in the danger areas more times than Arsenal’s Martin Ødegaard (16), Chelsea’s Mason Mount (14), and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes (14).
Aribo will be hoping to continue on his form and help the Saints get out of the relegation zone as Nathan Jones side sit 19 on the Premier League table, with just three wins and three draws in 15 league matches. Only 12 points just before the World Cup break.
