Arrival of Nigeria-made Nord A3 sedan, A9 SUV excites new car lovers
Nord Automobiles has ignited the nation’s auto business as it introduces two new models, Nord A3 Sedan and Nord A9 SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle), already making waves in the Nigerian market.
New vehicle enthusiasts are undoubtedly stunned by the beauty and unique features of both Nord A3 Sedan and Nord A9 SUV, assembled in Nigeria.
The unveiling ceremony attended by notable dignitaries from both the public and private sectors, held at the expansive Nord showroom in the high profile Lekki area of Lagos.
This came with presentation of prizes to winners of the company’s recent #CaptureNord Challenge.
Chairman/CEO of Nord Automobiles, Mr. Oluwatobi Ajayi, in his presentation, said the two new models would meet the needs of different segments of the motoring public.
According to him, the company has witnessed tremendous growth with its range of models increased from five to 11 in just about four years period.
The CEO highlighted the reliability, distinct design language and lower cost of ownership of the Nord A3, even as he said the Nord A9 stood out in a class of its own, as a unique SUV.
The Nord promoter stated that already, auto enthusiasts had started buying both models, as some were sold during the launch event.
The A3 comes with a modern SQRE4T15C engine and a CVT displacement offering maximum power of 115Kw and maximum horsepower of 150Ps, as well as a wheel base of 2700mm.
Its front suspension type is Independent MacPherson, while the rear suspension type is Multi-link rear suspension. The 1.6 litre engine car also comes with an electric power steering and a fuel tank capacity of 70 litres.
The Nord A9 on the other is a three row SUV, that can easily go for a family car, boosting ample leg room in the interior and generous ground clearance with its 2,820 mm wheel base.
With a fantastic fuel efficient capacity of 8.2 litre/100km, the SUV comes with modern sound system and latest auto electronics and info mechanisms for the comfort of occupants. It also comes with a self-park option.
Both models, just like other Nord models, come with five-year warranty or 200,000 kilometres.
Executive Director of the Alternative Bank, Dr Jekwu Ozoemene, spoke on the vehicle financing scheme, noting that the collaboration between the bank and Nord Automobile would offer prospective customers the opportunity to own any model of Nord through its easy payment scheme.
He also announced the purchase of two units of the newly launched Nord A3.
The event witnessed the presentation of prizes to the recent #CaptureNord Challenge.
Prizes were presented by Mrs. Dora Ajayi, Managing Director of Dora Naturals Skincare & Spa; Mr. Lukman Adekola, Group Head of Corporate and Investment Banking Solutions at Alternative Bank; Miss Tolu Falaye, Head of Legal and Compliance at Nord; and Miss Shekinah Odunsi, Director of Operations at Nord.
