Assistant to APC Deputy Governorship Candidate caught with ammunition in Bayelsa
Jonah Daumie, special adviser to Great Joshua Macciver, the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, has been arrested with ammunition.
In a video now trending on the internet, Daumie, in his confession to the men who arrested him, said he was sent to Foinbiri community by Macciver, who asked him to deploy the arms there.
“My name is Jonah Daumie. I am from Foinbiri community, Southern Ijaw local govt. I am the special adviser to Great Joshua Macciver on media and public affairs,” Daumie said.
“Joshua Macciver is the deputy governorship candidate of the APC. Today being November 11, 2023, I was arrested with some arms and ammunitions in Foinbiri.”

When questioned by a male voice whose face didn’t appear on screen about who sent him to the community, the special adviser to Macciver said he was sent there by the deputy governor hopeful.
“I went there on behalf of my boss, Great Joshua Macciver. Foinbiri is my community and I went there to vote. The arms in my hands are used during election activities,” he said.
“I am a contributor of arms to Joshua Macciver.”
In the video which can not be published for flouting the media law on obscenity, Daumie was stripped bare with the six pieces of ammunition in his hands.
Joshua Macciver is the running mate of Timipre Sylva, the former minister of state for petroleum resources.
