Former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Senator Kofoworola Akerele-Bucknor, on Friday, said the People’s Democratic Party, would replicate the Otoge movement to rescue Lagos from the grip of the All Progressives Congress in 2023.
She said this at a reception held in honour of the party’s Deputy National Secretary, Mr Koshoedo Setonji in Lagos.
Akerele-Bucknor called on party leaders and members to close ranks ahead of the 2023 general elections, stressing that it was time for the Lagos PDP to wrestle power from the APC.
She said, “Some people have been saying that Chief Bode George is responsible for the crisis rocking the Lagos PDP, we all know it is not true. I’m optimistic and praying that God will flush out the bad eggs from our party.
“We have all seen what is going on in Lagos, for me, I think it is time we replicate the Otoge movement in Lagos so that we can rescue Lagos from the APC in 2023.
“This is why I am urging every party member to return to your respective wards and commence registration of new members so that we can be formidable and united ahead of the 2023 general elections.”
