Bandits abduct 11 residents in fresh Kwara community attack, including pregnant woman, children
Eleven residents—including a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers, and several children—have been abducted after armed bandits launched a fresh attack on Isapa community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday evening.
The assault, which took place around 6:00 p.m., comes barely a week after 38 worshippers of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun, Eruku, were kidnapped and later released. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as between 20 and 30 gunmen stormed the quiet agrarian settlement with a large herd of cattle, firing shots indiscriminately and forcing residents to flee for safety.
A community leader who confirmed the incident said seven victims were taken from a single household, describing the attack as the worst the community had experienced recently.
