Bandits abduct bride, four bridesmaids after wedding in Sokoto
Tragedy struck in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State as suspected bandits abducted a newlywed bride along with four bridesmaids shortly after the wedding ceremony.
The incident occurred on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Kwaren Gamba near Kuka Teke, a village known for repeated attacks by armed groups loyal to the most wanted terror kingpin, Bello Turji in the region.

According to security analyst and counter insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, the armed men stormed the area and forcefully took the victims amidst widespread panic and helplessness among residents.
The families of the abductees remain distraught, with local youth and elders expressing frustration over the devastating news.
