Suspected bandits have kidnapped two female students of Al-Qalam University in Katsina State.

This came after the gruesome killing of one of abducted six sisters in Abuja by their abductors due to inability of their parents to raise the huge ransom being demanded.

The two students, Habiba Ango Shantali and Maryam Abubakar Musa, were reportedly on their way to school on Monday, January 15, when they were attacked and taken away.

President of the National Association Of Niger State Students (NANISS), Gambo Idris Shehu, confirmed the incident in a statement.

The statement was signed by the Secretary-General of the union, Mohammed Ibrahim.
