Gunmen have kidnapped eight members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Kaduna State.
The abductees were travelling on a bus for an Easter programme on Friday when they were ambushed and kidnapped around Kachai road by gunmen.
A Facebook user, Eje Kenny Faraday, posted a picture of the said bus with the caption, “all the passengers in this bus are just kidnapped along Kachia Road km 63 from Kaduna”.
The kidnappers have reportedly contacted the church, demanding N50 million ransom.

Mohammed Jalige, spokesman of the state police command, could not be reached to comment on the incident as he did not answer calls placed to him. Though it has been reported that police command said it is not aware of the abduction.
The incident comes about three weeks after 39 students were abducted from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Igabi LGA of Kaduna.
Their whereabouts are still unknown.
Kidnapping incidents have been on the rise in the country. Niger, Kaduna and Zamfara are some of the states which have recorded mass abductions recently.
