“Beyond 100%”: Governor Dauda Lawal Backs President Tinubu for 2027

Zamfara leadership commits full support to the re-election bid as Campaign Director-General Abdul’aziz Yari meets with local stakeholders.

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has pledged total commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign for the 2027 general elections. Speaking during a consultative visit at the Government House in Gusau, Lawal welcomed the Director-General of the presidential campaign council, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, alongside prominent community and political stakeholders.

The governor stated that the state’s dedication to the campaign goes well beyond standard expectations, promising that his administration is prepared to back the president’s second-term effort “beyond 100 percent.”

Lawal praised the appointment of Yari, describing the former governor and serving senator as a proud representative of Zamfara State who deserves unified support across all political and civic lines.

The governor encouraged every stakeholder present to work collaboratively to ensure the re-election drive runs smoothly and delivers clear results at the polls. By bringing local leaders together early, Lawal noted that the state aims to set a constructive and united example for the upcoming campaign cycle.

Addressing the gathering, Senator Yari highlighted the importance of engaging grassroots community leaders, many of whom hold significant trust and influence without holding formal political office.

Yari explained that connecting directly with local voices is central to the campaign’s approach. Rather than relying on partisan rhetoric, the campaign council plans to travel across Nigeria to present the administration’s performance, outline policy reforms, and build broad public confidence ahead of 2027.
