Bill Gates donates $50m to support Kamala Harris campaign
Bill Gates, one of the richest people in the world, has reportedly donated USD 50 million to a nonprofit organisation supporting Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
According to The New York Times, the donation was intended to remain confidential, as Gates has not publicly endorsed Harris, who is running against Republican Donald Trump in the upcoming November 5 election.
The donation went to Future Forward’s nonprofit arm, Future Forward USA Action, which as a “dark money” group does not disclose its donors, according to the report. Therefore, any contribution by the top US billionaire will never appear on any public filing.
