Reverend Ibrahim Abako, the Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Yobe State, confirmed the tragedy.

“We are deeply saddened by this news. On behalf of CAN, Yobe State chapter, we vehemently condemn the murder of three Christian youths on the Damaturu-Biu Federal Highway. We urge the state government, military, and police to enhance the protection of all citizens, irrespective of their religious beliefs,” Abako declared.
