Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters are currently attacking a village near Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.
A vigilante source told Daily Trust that the terrorists invaded Kautukari village, some 15 kilometres away from Chibok town, shooting sporadically and setting houses on fire.
According to the vigilante source, the military forward operation base (FOB) in Kada, just 2km away from Kautukari, has been dislodged.
“They came in this night through the nearby desert, shooting from all angles, they are currently in Kautukari village, a ward under Chibok council.

“All the villagers and soldiers ran into the bush; some are in Chibok town now,” the source said.
The attack happened hours after United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, paid his first visit to Nigeria.
Guterres arrived Maiduguri, Borno capital, on Tuesday afternoon as part of his 2-day official visit to Nigeria.
He interfaced with Governor Babagana Zulum, surrendered Boko Haram fighters and victims of insurgency.
