Breaking: Bassey Otu of APC emerges new governor of Cross River
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, has won the election.
He defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prof Sandy Onor.
INEC on Monday afternoon announced the result declaring the APC candidate as the winner.
According to the Returning Officer, Prof. Teddy Charles Adias, the APC candidate polled 258,619 votes Onor of the PDP scored 179,636.
Senator Otu won 15 local government areas out of the 18 LGAs while Onor won the remaining three LGAs.
