BREAKING: Anambra senator Ifeanyi Uba is dead
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah from Anambra South, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has passed away.
Ubah reportedly died in a hotel in London, United Kingdom, where he had traveled two days earlier. His death was confirmed by fellow senators in a group chat, where tributes have begun to pour in.
Sources indicate that Ubah, who was preparing to contest the next governorship election in Anambra, died of cardiac arrest.
Further details of his death are still emerging.
A source mentioned that Ubah had made a monetary donation to the Anambra APC two days before his demise.

His death comes just days after the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, passed away.
Senator Ubah, who was originally elected on the platform of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), defected to the APC last year.
The deceased was married to Uchenna, a Business Administration graduate from Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria, with whom he had 5 children. He also ran a foundation which is named after himself; Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation.
In September 2012, Ubah escaped assassination when he was attacked by gunmen on his way to Nnewi in Enugu-Ukwu in Anambra state. His convoy was shot at and at least 5 persons, including two policemen, were killed.
He survived as the vehicle was riding in was bulletproof.
