BREAKING: Chief Imam killed in fresh Plateau attack
Chief Imam of the Jumma’at Mosque in Ndun village in the Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State is one of those killed in a fresh attack on the state.
The Imam, Muhammad Sani Idris, was reportedly killed along with Muhammad Gambo, an okada rider.
The Nation reports that the event was confirmed by Garba Abdullahi, the chairman of the Gan Allah Fulani Development Association (GAFDAN) on Wednesday, January 3.
He stated that Salisu Muhammad Sani Idris, the younger brother of the deceased Imam, sustained injuries during the attack and was undergoing treatment at Dung Hospital located in Bokkos town.
The chairman said the incident had been reported to the security agencies in Bokkos.
The latest killing of the two herders came barely a week after about 23 villages of Bokkos LGA were attacked where more than 150 people were killed.
