Breaking: Gov Fubara orders demolition of Rivers House of Assembly
There is tension in PortHarcourt, the Rivers State Capital Wednesday morning as bulldozers have moved into the complex of the House of Assembly demolishing the structures.
NPO Reports that today’s demolition of the Assembly complex marks the height of the political crisis in the state between Governor Sim Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

NPO Reports that a section of the Assembly was burnt on Sunday October 29, 2023 bringing the state into full scale crisis. Wike had accused Fubara of ordering the burning of the Assembly to stop an impeachment process against him.
