BREAKING: Hilda Baci dethroned as Irish chef breaks longest cooking marathon record
Alan Fisher, an Irish chef, has dethroned Nigerian chef Hilda Baci as the winner of the world’s longest cooking marathon.
Fisher, the owner and chef of a Japanese restaurant, set two cooking-related Guinness World Records.
He set the record for the longest individual cooking marathon, clocking in at 119 hours and 57 minutes. That is more than 24 hours longer than the previous record, which was held by Hilda Baci, a Nigerian cook.

Alan then claimed the longest baking marathon (individual), with a time of 47 hours 21 minutes. The previous record holder was Wendy Sandner (USA) with a time of 31 hours 16 minutes.
Recall Hilda, a 26-year-old chef was on Tuesday, June 13, officially declared the Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon.
She cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes.
Hilda attempted to set a record of 100 hours but almost seven hours were deducted from her final total because she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.
She prepared over 100 pots of food during the contest, beating the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by Lata Tondon (India) in 2019.
