BREAKING: Kalu emerges deputy House speaker unopposed
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives in the 10th National Assembly, Benjamin Kalu, has been adopted by members-elect.
While the newly elected Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, contested against two aspirants, Kalu emerged as Deputy Speaker of the House unopposed.

Confirming that there were no other nominations for the position, the Clerk to the National Assembly, Sani Tambuwal, swore in Kalu as Deputy Speaker immediately.
