The 16 abducted students and staff of Greenfield University, Kaduna State have been regained their freedom.
The freed people are made up of 13 students and three members of staff of the university.
They were reunited with their families at a hotel around Command Junction in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna.
The students were said to look unkempt and sick.
The parents elated to see their children said they paid N180m to secure the release of the students.
Bandits had invaded the Greenfield University campus at Kasarami village along Kaduna-Abuja highway on April 20 and abducted the students and staff members.
The kidnappers had shortly after the abduction killed five of the students after the parents, school management and government failed to raise the N800m ransom demanded.
The parents of the students expressed anger on Saturday as they were reunited with their children, saying that government failed them.
Some of the parents said they sold their property to pay ransom for their children’s release.
