President Bola Tinubu’s list of nominated ministers has increased by 19 as the second batch of nominees was unveiled on Wednesday at the Senate.
The President on Thursday, July 27, 2023 nominated 28 ministers, many of who had been screened.
The new ministerial nominees however did not include a former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio read the Presidential communication contains the 19 names at plenary on Wednesday, August 2nd.
Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, brought in the communication from the President during plenary while a ministerial nominee, Lateef Fagbemi, was being screened on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

This new list contains the following names: Ahmed Tijani, Dr Isiaka Salako, Dr Tunji Alausa, Tanko Sunisi, Atiku Bagudu, Bello Metawalle, Ibrahim Gaida, Simon Lalong, Lola Ade John and Prince Abubbakar Audu.
Others are Senator Sabi Abdullahi, Alkali Samani, Senator Henekeins Lokpobori, and Gboyega Oyetola.
